Connecting PC to Bluetooth enabled Mobile
Once you have got a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone in your hand, you must be dying to connect it to your personal computer to get the maximum benefits out of the phone. The first step in this direction is to check if your personal computer has provision for Bluetooth or not. Most modern laptops and a few desktops are not coming with Bluetooth built on the motherboards. For order computers or those which do not have Bluetooth built in we need to get one Bluetooth adaptor or dongle as it is called and then install it to provide the required Bluetooth connectivity option to the computer.
First of all we need to install the Bluetooth drivers that come with the Bluetooth dongle so that the computer can utilize the Bluetooth dongle to communicate with other Bluetooth devices. Once Bluetooth has been properly installed it may be used to communicate with your mobile phone, your printer, your scanner, your digital camera or even a nearby computer with ease.
Now let’s discuss the steps required to get the mobile phone connected with the personal computer.
Plug in the Bluetooth dongle or start the built in Bluetooth device in your computer running windows XP and switch it on.
Reach out to your mobile phone, go to the Bluetooth setting and make it visible to all devices. Keep the option of authentication on and then switch on the Bluetooth.
Open the Bluetooth control panel and start searching for the mobile.
Once you see the mobile try to connect to it by giving a pairing code. The same code must be fed on the mobile when it asks for the pairing key.
Once connected you can perform all the required action which you desired. The use of a passkey is encouraged to keep the data transmission secure and preventing unauthorized usage of your resources.
